Yeah my dad got his card in the mail yesterday. My mom opened it and in true, Catholic school teacher fashion, she complained about how we aren’t to have prayer in schools and the whole separation of church and state (as our City is going through the legal issues of having the Ten Commandments out in plain view in a public park), yet “George and Nancy” have sent out cards with a religious Psalm written inside. As she walked out of the kitchen, card still clutched in her hand as she was going on, she decided that dear ol’ “George & Nancy” are getting a Christmas card from our family this year. My mother loves being sarcastic.

Although this year… I think she’s actually going to do it.

(just for the record, she’s all for prayer in school)

erm… I meant Laura… not Nancy… wasn’t Nancy, Reagan’s wife? *smacks herself up the side of the head* I knew what my mom said, but I can’t seem to type it right. LOL

    Hello.
The Constitution makes no mention of God. On purpose.
The Declaration of Independence mentions the Laws of Nature, first. Nature’s God is mentioned second. On purpose.
“…endowed by their Creator… means, the creator of their choice.
Not your creator. Not the Christian creator. Their Creator leaves it open to interpretation.
    On purpose.
George Washington said, “…we are not a Christian Nation…” Look up the Tripoli Treaty. Or are the Founding Fathers not American enough for you ?
One says,’Happy Holidays’ as not to exclude anyone. You may not, if
you so choose. We The People means everyone,Everyone. In that, you have no choice. Thank you for your time. CRF

I HAVE A RESPONSE THAT I WROTE AND SENT TO THE AMERICAN fAMILY ASSN. IN TUPELO, MISSISSIPPI. IT IS THE SAME ORGANIZATION THAT COERCED THE BUSINESS KNOWN AS TARGET TO RETURN THE USE OF “MERRY /CHRISTMAS IN ITS WINDOW. “HAPPY HOLIDAYS” WAS NOT SUFFICIENT FOR THIS RELIGIOUS GROUP.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE A COPY OF MY RESPONSE TO THIS GROUP?

  • Andrea says:

We get to CHOOSE our own creator?

In that case, can I choose a new set of parents, too?

We don’t choose who created us. That’s even more obsurd than the pot telling the potter what to do.

I’m sorry to break this to you, but the Christian God, as you put it, created everything and everyone. There is no other. You can hate him, deny him, spit in his face, but he will still be the one created you, loves you, and yes, died for you.
