U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney, the Atlanta Georgia congresswoman who made headlines after an altercation with a Capitol Hill police officer, has lost her lawyer, and gained a challenger.

McKinney, 51, will now have to face Hank Johnson, an attorney and two-term member of the DeKalb County Commission, in July’s Democratic primary.

Johnson, entered the race to win McKinney’s seat in Georgia’s 4th District, a majority black and Democratic district in Atlanta.

However, McKinney’s trouble doesn’t end there. Her attorney, James Myart, says he is no longer representing her. He did not explain why she was no longer his client, citing, "attorney-client confidentiality."
