Ray “Willy Wonka” Nagin Re-elected Mayor Of New Orleans

Ray Nagin of the "Chocolate City" remark was reelected to a second term as Mayor of New Orleans.  The N.O. voters must be gluttons for more of the same old.

Who will be to blame for the next hurricane to blast through the Big Easy if first responders mess up?  Clearly Nagin will go on a "don’t blame me" campaign again.

The voters must be insane.

This excerpt from AP:

Voter Elliot Pernell was philosophical about his vote for the incumbent. "He’s been through the experience already," he said, "and won’t make the same mistakes."

Wanna bet?  Nagin is not capable of leading that city if, God forbid, there is another disaster.

Maybe he can get the buses to higher ground the next time around.

New Orleans will be back better, with streets paved in cocoa! :)

Actually the Mayor does not control the school buses. They belong to the disfunctional school board.

Mary Landrieu said it best,”He has trouble getting people to work on a sunny day”

Defining comment in the last debate was when Landrieu mentioned the Marcello family as one of the great families in New Orleans.

BTW-I was surprized by the outcome, thought Landrieu would win by a few percentage points.
