Stuck On Stupid

Much to the dismay of several party members Howard Dean lecturedCanadian Liberals at the opening of their Convention.

Canada’s Liberals and America’s Democrats are kindred political spirits and must reach out to the masses to rebuild their parties, Howard (the Scream) Dean told Grits last night in a flat keynote speech to open their leadership convention.

Sharing the experience of his political party that was "wandering in the wilderness," the chairman of Democratic national committee warned Liberals not to mimic strategies of political foes. They should celebrate diversity and focus on hope and promise instead of "feeding on fear," he said.

"The Democratic party and the Liberal party are the ‘we’ parties, our opponents too often are the ‘me’ parties," Dean said.

It was a less than  capacity crowd.

Many seats in the Montreal convention centre remained empty during Dean’s appearance, and many said the American politician was a bad choice.
