Do you understand what the author is saying? Don’t you realize that Bush has stated hundreds of times that he wants to create a new order in the Middle East that embraces democracy and protects human rights? Don’t you realize that the author is making a case against the US promoting democracy and human rights with foreign policy and intervention?
The message of this article and your comments are in conflict. I don’t know where you’re coming from.

I hope you don’t mind, but I posted about some of the backhanded dealings of the Carter administration that led directly to the Middle East we see today. During my research, I discovered it went much deeper than merely Human Rights.
