Fortney: The Forty-Second Fool (Update: Fortney Offers A Tearful? Apology)
Update: The 42nd fool Apologizes:
Remember the 41 Fools in the Senate that sent the letter to Rush Limbaugh’s Syndication Company demanding an apology for Rush’s phony phony Soldiers remark? That backfired when Limbaugh put the letter on E-Bay (the latest bid at the time of this post is closing in on $1,000,000 Over $2,000,000).
Well we have one more fool to add to the gaggle . Fortney “Pete” Stark Democrat Congressman from California with this vitriol while on the House floor arguing for the SCHIP bill with this statement:
“But you’re going to spend it to blow up innocent people if we can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the President’s amusement.”

There has to be some action that can be taken against this man for a personal slander of a sitting president. This was personal, it wasn’t in the context of the political debate.
Notice also how he basically said that the children would die before reaching the age to serve in Iraq if SCHIPS wasn’t passed?

“Innocent”? That’s subjective. Is one “innocent” if they are setting up roadside IED’s to kill our soldiers? Are they innocent when they strap on the suicide belt and take out dozens of kids playing in a school yard? Hmmmm. Guess Starky and I have a different view of innocent.
Oh, and get real Steve Dennis, he’ll face no action. He’s a Dem, they can do whatever the hell they want.

Maybe he genuinely thinks the President is amused by young American troops getting their heads blown off.
