Richardson Plays It Safe, Calls Hillary From Afar To Advise Of His Endorsement Of Obama

with 5 comments

Bill Richardson Governor of New Mexico and one time Clinton supporter made a long distance call to inform Hillary Clinton of his endorsement of Barack Obama. He saved himself from serious injury from flying household accessories (lamps, ashtrays, etc) by advising Mrs. Clinton of his decision over the phone.

To add insult to injury Richardson suggested that Clinton pull out of the race:

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson yesterday suggested when endorsing Sen. Barack Obama in the Democratic presidential race that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton should drop out, as a primary-election lawsuit had made it tougher for the former first lady to secure the party’s nomination. The one-time candidate’s endorsement helped Mr. Obama at the end of a difficult week, giving him the support of another former Clinton administration official who also is a superdelegate and a high-profile Hispanic.

  2. Hey,
I am sure Bill Richardson would have been a great guy if he had just listened to the Clintons and blindly supported a corrupt, lying, screaming and vicious woman called Hillary. He did not. He listened to his heart and realized that the hispanics would be treated the same way as blacks should one of them run for President. Well, I got bad news..by 2020, non-whites will be a majority in USA.. We will then see how the Republican party, democratic racists, Rush Bimbaugh and Hawn Shawnity run for cover..

  3. I think people are being naive to say that Hillary can’t win. If you haven’t noticed, Obama is blocking any type of revote in Florida and Michigan. If you count the votes, and the votes to come, especially in Pennsylvania where I am writing from, it’s going to be hard for him to win the popular vote. Also, the states ahead are leaning towards Clinton. Already, what should easily be a stronghold for Obama, North Carolina, has showed a recent closing gap between Clinton and Obama in the polls. Clinton has regained a lot of ground there and will win PA by a landslide. Obama isn’t even trying to campaign in PA, I don’t know about everyone - but I doubt Pennsylvania citizens appreciate that. Also, the majority of the states after PA will probably go to her. She will catch up some in the delegates, will not win the delegate count, but will win the popular vote - which I think is the most important.

To Obama and his Supporters: How can you not let the people of Michigan and Florida revote, isn’t that a dictatorship when you take the power out of the people’s hands. How dare Obama call himself a democrat - by not allowing people to vote is well, my friends, not very democratic. He is blocking any chance of Hillary to win. Let’s make this fair - lets use a system that counts everyone’s vote. No more delegates, no more superdelegates. Just one vote for each person to decide the next president. Last time I checked, that principle is what this country was built on.

    Thank you and God bless.

  4. Hey Anven,
I am a life long Democrat and found the 8 years in the 90’s when the Clinton’s were in office as a pretty good period for the economy for whites, blacks, and hispanics combined. Having now found out Obama’s spiritual mentor (I don’t know about you but I regard my spirituality as a higher calling than politics) views white people with disdain, I am a little more worried about his pespective of whites than than whatever Hillery’s perception of Bill Richardson’s withdrawal of support would be.

  5. Hey Schwielj,

I have also been a lifelong democrat and to me the most disgusting thing that exists on the face of the earth is something call the Clintons and if you are truly what you claim to be, a lifelong democrat, you will too. Remember what Billary did to the party in 93 and 94 and 97 and 98 and to Al Gore and later…look at theese people for who they are - a couple of two people who have used each other and will use anyone and everything that is on the way even as trashing everyone who “dares” to oppose them. I am not black or hispanic. The fact of the matter is that the native americans, blacks and hispanics have been dealt a lousy card year after year and now when there is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a smart, capable candidate who is not black but actually half white and half black, the far right wing aided and abetted by the Clintons is focussed on doing him in. That is just simply it. Otherwise, why the **** would Hush Bimbaugh as his supporters to “pimp” themselves to vote for Hillary and vote they did, sinking Obama in Texas and Ohio. What is the proof ? Take a look at the counties that Al Gore and Kerry and even Bill won in Ohio and Texas and you will see that Obama won those counties. Hillary won almost every county that went to Bush and will go a Republican next year.. Hmmmm…wonder how…?

The bottomline is that Obama made a mistakem not in not getting a ******* in the Oval office or committing perjury or even taking the country to war, but in his personal and spiritual life in aligning himself when he was a young 26 yr old man with a man whom he trusted. Rev Wright has preached good sermons too. And he has rightfully condemned Rev Wright and moved on. Maybe you should too.
