As for Obama’s whining about the 45 minutes it took “to ask a single question that is important to the American people,” all I can say is that this American voter was happy with those questions because they probed the public persona of this little known senator who wants me to vote for him as president. Those questions were important to me because they speak to me about Obama’s character and values and I take all of it into consideration when I vote. The way he mishandled and wilted during the questioning revealed a weak, and indecisive man who cannot stand the heat. How will he ever handle crises in international relations if he cannot handle a few questions about his remarks?
This incident in the diner is yet another revealing character moment in Snobarama Land. Add this one to his “bitter” remarks about small town folks and what he really thinks about “us” begins to add up. Even Maureen Dowds (no Hillary lover) in her NY Times piece today (”Wilting Over Waffles”) wrote: “In the final days in Pennsylvania, he dutifully logged time at diners and force-fed himself waffles, pancakes, sausage and a Philly cheese steak. He split the pancakes with Michelle, left some of the waffle and sausage behind, and gave away the French fries that came with the cheese steak. But this is clearly a man who can’t wait to get back to his organic scrambled egg whites. That was made plain with his cri de coeur at the Glider Diner in Scranton when a reporter asked him about Jimmy Carter and Hamas.“Why” he pleaded, sounding a bit, dare we say, bitter, “can’t I just eat my waffle?” As the American people begin to see Obama for the elitist, leftist snob he really is, many more will vote McCain in November. I mean, who wants a president who eats organic egg whites for breakfast and can’t answer a simple question from a small town voter?
