Is Keith Over, Man?

Rumor has it that Keith Olbermann might be in meltdown mode over at MSNBC. His strange behavior is accelerating at the Peacock Network.

The Monday NY Post reports:

Is Keith Olbermann, MSNBC’s top-rated anchor, on the verge of yet another professional meltdown? His feuding with “Hardball” host Chris Matthews is nothing new. But now we’re told notoriously odd Olbermann is lashing out at the rest of his network’s talking heads. During West Virginia primary coverage the other night, Olbermann began pounding the table when lead White House reporter David Gregory didn’t wrap his segment quickly enough to satisfy him. Olbermann recently encouraged management to oust the cable channel’s lone conservative, Tucker Carlson, and it’s also no secret among producers that Olbermann refuses to introduce Dan Abrams’ show, which follows his own. Olbermann walked out of MSNBC years ago in a huff after also blowing up at ESPN, so TV insiders are curious if this recent behavior is a sign that history will repeat itself. MSNBC did not respond to our calls and e-mails seeking comment.

The Libs’ mental deficiencies eventually surface.

Keith reminds me of a rabid dog. His constant bashing of Hillary contrasted by his nightly fawning over Precious Obama, leaves many with a less than favorable view of him. Frankly I find him pathetic. Good riddance sooner rather than later Keith!

  • gregg says:

His meltdown started months ago, and now others are finally noticing.

  • Larry says:

He’s nothing more than a glorified sportscaster. He should be canned, shunned from newscasting, and forced to work his way back up the ESPN ladder (starting with ESPNU or some such podunk station).

Keith O is a pathetic excuse for a man, I dont know anyone who likes him, how in hell is he top rated. But, honestly all of the msnbc guys are including nora odonell are really sad, david schuster I liked for a time, but now he is just as bad. msnbc used to be somewhat respectable, but since keith o came on board things have really gone downhill. Wonder why he always seems so frustated, could he be hiding something

Olbermann is pathetic, I can’t stomach him.

Is he gay too like Obama? Maybe that is why he is so hot headed and solicitious regarding Obama.
These gays, you never know what they will do. They are so militant all but Obama he doesn’t appear militant, just dumb and stupid without his teleprompter, though I must admit Michelle Obama is the most masculine one of those two and she is very militant and racist.
MSNBC should clean house and get some new people. I like Joe Scarborough, Pat Buchanan and even David Gregory, The rest of them suck though but Olbermann is the worst of all.

Delighted to find I am not the only one who thinks Olbermann is a delusionary narcissist. I thought if was only a matter of time before he crashed when he started channeling Murrow. I guessed perhaps Olbermann’s recent inexplicable behavior toward Hillary Clinton had to do with his Obama-infatuated girlfriend, but it’s more likely his own arrogance that is bringing him down—as in, pride goeth before a fall.

Olberman, in my opinion, is even WORSE than Tim Russert! He is rude, condescending, extremely sarcastic; his tone and his facial expressions are designed to show contempt. He seems to be spiraling out of control and cannot rein in his emotions. He is one of the many reasons why there is presently a boycott of MSNBC. When Clinton won in West Virginia, he berated her, berated the win, berated the speech, ridiculed her, etc, etc, etc. The producers of the show must all be losing their perspective if they have allowed this behavior to continue for as long as it has. This goes well beyond the confines of journalistic opinion! And Russert’s arrogant, antagonistic behavior toward a presidential candadate during the debate was shocking, to say the least. Even HE knew he had crossed the line, as he carefully avoided her after the debate. We viewers have never seen the likes of this from the media, and if this is just the beginning, then it looks like I’m going to be saving some more household money when I cancel my cable TV coverage. After the debate, I decreased coverage to limited basic cable, but I still for some reason get MSNBC. That does NOT mean however that I can’t boycott it, which I have already begun to do. I have emailed Russert at MSNBC, but with no response, of course. They should both be fired, but I believe Olberman is dangerous and should be fired immediately! That “late breaking” video, DATED YEAR 2000, on O’Reilly that Olberman was relishing just seemed to make him appear desperate and on the verge of being psychotic! What the hell are the producers of MSNBC doing over there??? How about some serious non-biased journalistic reporting???

  • JW Moore says:

No one who’s followed his career should be surprised by this. I think the suits at NBC hoped they could keep the Dobermann “contained” through the 08 elections before he started the Marathon Man act. Never thought I’d find myself defending the Dobermann, but some of the above comments are harsh and even Olbermannic: it’s not like the guy had a big enough audience to pose any threat to the journalistic profession, and so long as we’re firing people, how about those enablers who kept hunting down ancient O’Reilly clips from “Inside Edition” or whatever? Couldn’t one of them have said, “Keith, I know you hate the guy, but this isn’t news!”
