Hillary Opens Mouth, Mentions 1968 Kennedy Assassination, Inserts Foot

with 13 comments

Hillary Clinton (the smartest woman in the world) inserted her foot securely in her pie hole once again. this time slipping Bobby Kennedy’s assassination into her rhetoric during an interview with a newspaper board. Hillary references Kennedy Assassination to 2008 Elections and possibly Obama. This is not the first time she mentioned this.

From Breitbart:

Sen. Hillary Clinton referred Friday to the assassination of Robert Kennedy in 1968 Democratic campaign as a reason she should continue to campaign despite increasingly long odds.

Clinton was responding to a question from the Sioux Falls Argus Leader editorial board about calls for her to drop out of the race.

“My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don’t understand it,” she said, dismissing the idea of dropping out.

Clinton said she didn’t understand why, given this history, some Democrats were calling for her to quit.

Her remark about an assassination during a primary campaign drew a quick response from rival Barack Obama’s campaign.

“Sen. Clinton’s statement before the Argus Leader editorial board was unfortunate and has no place in this campaign,” said Obama spokesman Bill Burton.

“My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. You know I just, I don’t understand it,” she said, dismissing the idea of dropping out.

Clinton spokesman Mo Elleithee said the senator was only referring to her husband and Kennedy “as historical examples of the nominating process going well into the summer and any reading into it beyond that would be inaccurate and outrageous.”

Hillary is not the brightest bulb in the room.

  1. All Clinton did was mention a historical relevant event that took place in June before the convention because this generation seems to think that a primary fight all the way to June is something new and unusual! This country is starting to really scare me. Is this Obama politics? Are we still allowed to mention 9/11? Maybe George Bush was not so bad afterall………………(and I am a democrat that was furious in 2000 about the whole FL debacle)

  2. The MSM is going crazy over this, Obama has been DOING STUPID things for months now, that were not gaffes but real actions, Wright, Rezko, etc. and they just turned there cheeks. Clinton makes one gaffe, and its breaking news every where.

This incident proves the point that the media is biased. This comment was nothing.

  3. It seems to me that what she was saying was that Bobby was still campaigning in June — the campaign was still going on — when he was assasinated. Which is just an historical fact. That election, like the ones in 1984 and 1992, did not wrap until late in the primary season.

  4. The press is not satisfied with it’s own black eyes and now attempts to break it’s own legs. This is a non-issue that the media is attempting to make stink over for partisan and ratings gain. Pure bias and manufacture. It’s sad but the press will be totally useless or much worse quite soon.

  5. Now is the time for the SD’S to come to Hillary’s rescue before she end up in a mental institute. She is pitiful and should be banned from running for public office.

  6. When Obama and his media have to “fire back” at Hillary about this type of nonsense, and try to make a mountain out of an ant hill…they must be worried that she’s winning!!! This isn’t even a gaffe…it’s a legitimate point about the month of June, and other candidates that were still running in June!!! She really should just ignore them and their noise.

  7. Get over it. So if she crosses her eyes — what will that mean? That Barry partook of coke numerous times? That just might be true, right?

  8. As soon as I got home, I turned on the t.v. The banner across the bottom indicated Senator Clinton explained she was staying in the race ‘just in case,’ pointing out that RFK was in the race in June, when he was assassinated. I shouted an expletive, fearing the political fallout. Then, I found a video of her comments on the internet; and read the analysis of the editors who were interviewing her when she made her statements. Now, I understand exactly what happened. Responding to questions from the editors about why she thought so many people were calling for her to get out of the race now, she said she didn’t know, pointing out that staying in the race into June wasn’t unheard of. Then she cited two other instances where candidates remained in the race into June. The first reference was to President Clinton, who won the California primary in 1992. (I don’t remember that.) The second reference was to RFK, assassinated in June 1968 at a hotel in California after winning that state’s primary. (That, I remember.) I wish the pundits were half as conscientious about disseminating the facts as I am about investigating their lies.

  9. OMG, you Obamabots are dumb as rocks. Hillary was referring to a historical event….I couldn’t even figure out what the whole controversy was supposed to be about until I read what your evil minds were thinking. Geez….get over yourselves!

  10. This wasn’t a gaffe. It was a talking point.

  11. Just when you think that Hillary couldn’t be any darker - it gets a whole lot darker. Her comments about assassination as a reason to stay in the race further define her other creepy comments about ‘an act of God’. Supporting comments or thinking like this is like defending a gangster’s heart and sensitivity. Her ‘apology’ was equally without remorse either towards Senator Obama or the Kennedy family. Hillary crossed the line and should be considered toxic. Sad to think that the first powerful female to run for President is mentally ill.

  12. Say, I’m reminded of an obscure movie, Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Arthur, King of the Britons comes across a knight guarding a bridge.
The Knight says, “none shall pass.”
King Arthur commands the Knight to stand aside, and the Knight refuses.
Arthur then sees that the only way to pass is to defeat the Knight in battle, and a fight ensues.
King Arthur chops off the Knight’s arm and the Knight proclaims this as only a flesh wound.
Arthur wants to end this amicably, but the Knight wants to fight on.
Arthur chops off the Knights other arm, and says that now puts an end to it then.
The knight then starts kicking Arthur.
Off comes one leg, still not daunting the good fellow Knight who continues the battle with his one remaining leg.
Arthur chops off his other leg, and with just a body and a head propped upon the ground, the Knight looks up at Arthur and then says, “well, all right then, let’s call it a draw, shall we.”
Arthur proceeds on his way across the bridge.
The Knight yells from behind him for Arthur to come back and accept his beating like a man.

    Sound familiar?

    Tony.

  13. I am a woman, and a temporary resident of this country who has been following the Primary with keen interest. In the beginning when Hillary started out with a big lead in popularity and campaign funds she was supposed to be coronated after Super Tuesday. I was happy that a woman was likely to hold one of the most powerful office in the world. Hilary then used to come accross as very self assured as she accepted the inevitable. Then came Ohio… boy did she change her colors. From the dismissive remark ” I have life time of experience, Senator McCain has ….etc and Obama gave a speech in 2006″ she became increasingly shrill and vindictive.Bill and Hillary’s disrepectful attacks on Obama were personal. whether it was her “as far as I know he is not a muslim” to her milking the ‘bitter’ comment. She never mentioned Florida and Michigan voter disenfranchisement until she realized she was losing Interestig that her supporters are crying sexism and are upset about the media treatment of her latest not so clever observation about Robert Kennedy. Its unfortunate that her supporters can not be objective. She is no different than leaders of third world countries who bend and break all rules for power. I suppose the sense of entitlement and win by hook or crook is very American and desired traits of a President.
