As for nuclear power applications, there are reasonably compelling technical and logistical reasons why someone would rather operate a nuclear-steam power plant, even if they're sitting on an "ocean of oil." Saddam's intentions, I'm sure, were hardly innocent...but I get tired of hearing the "ocean of oil" argument from people who aren't in the powergen business, don't know the technology, the applications or the relative economies of fossil-fired and nuclear generating systems.</description>
