Glow Fading?
McCain’s ahead if Newsweek calls it a draw. Newsweeks’ polls always lean heavily toward the Democrats.
A month after emerging victorious from the bruising Democratic nominating contest, some of Barack Obama’s glow may be fading. In the latest NEWSWEEK Poll, the Illinois senator leads Republican nominee John McCain by just 3 percentage points, 44 percent to 41 percent. The statistical dead heat is a marked change from last month’s NEWSWEEK Poll, where Obama led McCain by 15 points, 51 percent to 36 percent.
The liberal MSM can’t hide Obama’s decline in the polls. Arrogance won’t help Obama.
Meanwhile the Rasmussen Daily tracking Poll for July 13th finds the race dead even at 46%.
For the second straight day, the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll shows that the race for the White House is tied. Sunday’s numbers show Barack Obama and John McCain each attracting 43% of the vote. When “leaners” are included, the two candidates are tied at 46%. For most of the past month-and-a-half, Obama has led McCain by approximately five percentage points. It will take a few more days to determine whether this recent tightening of the race reflects real change or is merely statistical noise. (see recent daily results). Tracking Polls are released at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time each day

McCain is probably doing better than that, considering the built-in pro-Obama slant of the traditional media - consider today’s LA Times “Some voters see it as a win-win”, first page piece in which this liberal junk (LA Times) kept magnanimously enlarging “Obama and McCain have similar positions on some once-divise issues. They’re even edging closer on Iraq,” etc. etc.
They’re closer? Glibama quit entirely his earlier position in this matter (”refining” this is called), and this in such a shameless manner that even his most fanatic supporters are dismayed.
So, Obama and McCain are not tied - Glibama is probably slightly behind McCain and this difference will increase more and more as people realize what an opportunistic airbag he is.
