Charlie Gibson attempts to trip Sarah Palin up on a question about the “Bridge To Nowhere.” It didn’t work. She handled Gibson well.

“Do you want to revize and extend your remarks” Gibson, was more snide and condescending last night – “What insight into Russian actions, particularly in the last couple of weeks, does the proximity of the state give you”? and earlier when she relied yes after he asked her if she was qualified three times he said “Didn’t that take some hubris”? and this “getting caught in a flurry of words”
Is Charlie’s toupee on too tight? Shouldn’t he know the Congress -as in Obama, Biden and McCain determine the Federal budget. Governor Palin cannot spend a nickel of federal tax money.
That’s disingenuous, at best. If Palin doesn’t push the earmarks with Alaska’s congressional delegation, it doesn’t happen.
And nice editing there, StupidPeople! You cut the clip at just the right place: where Gibson keeps the pressure on Palin and she starts talking in circles.
She’s against earmarks, which is why she hooked on with McBush. But she asked for hundreds of millions of dollars of earmarks this year alone, because she perceived that’s what her job is as governor.
So earmarks are morally reprehensible, and Sarah Palin will fight like hell to get rid of the NOW, now that she doesn’t stand to gain from actually asking for and receiving earmarks as Alaska’s governor.
In all honesty, Palin does have a big mouth. But not really big enough to try to tell two widely divergent and contradictory messages at the same time, out of both sides of her mouth.
Need we look into Obama’s wasteful earmarks? I guess so since the media won’t. Follow the obama money trail to Wright, Pfleger, University of Chicago Hospital, Rezko and Associates.
good luck with that McBush strategy.
You don’t answer a question on Palin’s integrity and honesty by deflecting attention elsewhere. Palin lied to the American people when she said — repeatedly — that she opposed earmarks. She didn’t when she was mayor of that bustling metropolis Mystery, Alaska, she didn’t when she was governor. She gladly took hundreds of millions of federal tax dollars in pork-barrel projects… and she pretends like it never happened.
McBush and Palin: We’d Rather Lose Our Honor And Integrity Than Lose A Campaign
Geevill,
Obama doesn’t have earmarks. It’s called rampant socialism.
