(Kissinger Unhappy with Obama)
“Senator McCain is right. I would not recommend the next President of the United States engage in talks with Iran at the Presidential level. My views on this issue are entirely compatible with the views of my friend Senator John McCain. We do not agree on everything, but we do agree that any negotiations with Iran must be geared to reality.”

Jeez Kissinger has gotten so FAT! Anyhow he said:
In a foreign policy forum on Sept. 15, Kissinger said: “I am in favor of negotiating with Iran.” He went on to say, “I actually have preferred doing it at the secretary of state level” and the U.S. should go into the talks with “a clear understanding of what is it we’re trying to prevent. What is it going to do if we can’t achieve what we’re talking about? But I do not believe that we can make conditions for the opening of negotiations. We ought, however, to be very clear about the content of negotiations and work it out with other countries and with our own government.”
I think he agrees more with Obama than Bush/McGrump camp,, however, he’s such a the dictator’s buddy & complicit in war crimes especially in So. America that I wouldn’t be bringing him up at all except to say he should be in jail!
I wonder what he thinks of BushCo making the U.S. China’s bitch.

Same as with the “bracelet” moment, another embarrassing moment for Obama when he tried to impress people in a phony way.

Of course Kissinger will reword his statement to help save ailing McCain’s night but beyond that, sitting to discuss issues with a foreign leader doesn’t LEGITIMIZE anything, McCain is stubborn, condescending, patronizing, disgusting, a lier and he is the American version of Hugo Chavez!

The “agreeable” ad put out by McCain only underscores how bad he came off with his Mean Old Man act. He represents the embarrassing Bush era saber-rattling that has been a disaster.
The fact that he couldn’t even LOOK at his opponent or treat him with any respect makes him look like a bitter old man and not somebody you want negotiating on your behalf. And he DID lose his cool, most notably with the “Horseshit” muttering. Not a person who has the temperment to be President of the United tates.

Katie–
McCain didn’t say “horseshit.” He said, “Of course not.” McCain was polite to Obama, who was rude in return. Of course I don’t expect someone as polite as you are to be able to perceive rudeness in others.
Carmen–
Kissinger didn’t “reword” his statement; Obama lied about it. Kissinger has worked for both Republicans and Democrats (less effectively than his vaunted reputation would lead one to believe). He has no axe to grind.
