Sarah Palin & The First Dude: More Charitable Than Joe Biden

Biden the cheapskate vs. Sarah Palin & The first Dude. Who is more Charitable. It ain’t Joe. The Palins made considerably less than Joe Biden in the last two years according to their tax returns yet they gave more to charity than Biden did in 8 years. So much for the generosity of the liberal Dems.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin made considerably less money than rival Sen. Joe Biden, but the Palin family gave more to charity in the last two years than Biden has in the last eight combined, according to Palin’s tax records released Friday afternoon.

Palin, the running mate of presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), and her husband Todd reported meager earnings from 2006 and 2007, at least by presidential-politics standards.

In 2006, the Palins paid $11,944 in taxes on $127,869 in income. In 2007, they paid $24,738 on $166,080.

But in 2006, they donated $4,880 to charity, and in 2007, they donated $3,325.

By contrast, Biden (D-Del.), Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s running mate, has donated a total of $3,690 since 1998 despite his higher Senate salary, according to an analysis posted by National Review.

Joe the cheapskate.   Fiscally conservative?  Yes, for himself but not with your money.

Sarah Palin is a little bit annoyed with John McCain, you betcha!

She apparently only found out today (!) about the campaign’s move out of Michigan and apparently protested it.

In her interview with Carl Cameron of Politico she apparently said:

[.. I want to get back to Michigan and I want to try. I fired off a quick e-mail and said, 'Oh, come on, you know, do we have to? Do we have to call it there?' ..]

    http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1008/14253.html

Here she is - the token pick (to appeal to Hillaryites) from a desperate “maverick” dropping in the polls — and just five weeks as part McCain’s 10 year old bid to become president and has the gall to whine about abandoning Michigan.

She was mayor of Wasilla Alaska when McCain started out. Chess, war and political campaigns is all about strategy. She might get a clue with just 33 days remaining.

“…gall to whine about abondoning Michigan.”
There you go again “Joe”. Say it aint so LOL

It is called thinking outside the box, and if she feels she can make a difference, more power to her.

  3. bk Says:

you know, I make alot less money than they do , but they only paid less than 10% in taxes, but my tax brackett is 30%, so you can take your charity money and stick it up your (fill in the blank). it is not how much they give, but how much is taken, and from the looks of things, they arnt hurtin.

  4. psygone Says:

30 percent!!! Then thank the Bush economy.

Barack Obama’s tax plans cuts taxes for the middle class and raises them only for people who make above $250,000.

His plan aims to restore fairness to our system that was lost during the Presidency of George W. Bush.

John McCain’s plans cuts taxes on the super-wealthy but leaves more than half of American families with no benefit whatsoever.

The vote McCain keeps talking about was a budget resolution that only set broad targets and stated assumptions about current law.

Obama’s plan: Eliminate Income Taxes for Seniors Making Less than $50,000

    Note to bk:
‘aint hurtin?’ The Palin family in 2007 earned $166,080. Subtract the $24,738 in tax payment and you have a yearly net clear income of $141,242. Divide that number by twelve months. With a family of four out of five children (oldest one is away out of the house now working as a soldier) of different ages, morgages, health and everyday living expenses like car and gas, hydro oh and educational costs too for a family with several members to look after. You end up with a monthly income after taxes of: $11,770.00 odd dollars to cover all those expenses. Also add in different types of insurances being paid out as well. Like car, house, life, etc. Add in food costs as well. It may look like a large figure at a monthly rate. But after expenses you really do not have a lot left for a champagne and jet set life style. Especially if you have a $300 or $400 morgage payment to make each month. From my view the $11,770.00 monthly net may look great. But I’m a single person without a family to raise and I rent my place. Plus in spite of all this the Palin family still payed out more charitable funds that Senator Biden. Comfortable yes. But with your cost of living rising it maybe not be as comfortable as it they may have been say this time last year.

  6. Liza Says:

How much of the Palins’ donations went to their church? What exactly is “charity”? Does that include donations to the organizations like the NRA, for example? And how, exactly, did they pay a 9-14% tax rate? I think we need a little more detail here before we jump to conclusions on the Palins’ great generosity.

  7. Katie Says:

Doggone it! Doncha know ya gotta give til it hurts to the First Assembly Wackadoo Pentacostal Tundra Tongue Talkers.

Cuz ya know JEEEEEZus is comin’ back in our lifetimes and we gotta stop all those witches from castin’ those spells that cause those doggone traffic accidents.

I’m just feelin’ overcome by HOLY LAUGHTER & need to be taken to a quiet place by an usher to convene with the spirits now…..

  8. Col.Smeag Says:

    Hello Katie,
How did you get stuck working the weekend? All the guys go out with Barry to do some politicin? Leave you there all by yourself? Well while your alone in your happy place talking to the voices in your head keep in mind, Barry went to church with Rev Wright for 20 years. There’s a lot of ammo there, or more liek bombs.
Keep it up, moveon.org fans love you, but we’re not really trying to win their votes are we?

    I don’t believe that Gov. Palin’s Minister said”…God F#$@ America…”

Can’t you just feel the love in that statment?

  9. psygone Says:

    You betcha !

Today’s Gallup Daily Tracking poll included the first interviews conducted following Thursday’s record setting VP debate.

  10. Katie Says:

Well you know damn well that if Obama had a video where some crazed “witch hunter” accused the Jews of controlling the banks and then “laid hands” on him, FoxNews would never shut up about it.

But with Mooselini it’s like WAAAAAAH!!!! Nobody’s allowed to say anything about her FAITH! Which btw is batshit nuts.

Meanwhile the electoral map is getting smaller and smaller for poor Gramps and Mooselini. I think soon they will have to Wave The White Flag of Surrender in New Hampshire just like they did in Michigan. And they have to spend money in Indiana a month out! LOL!

  11. Right is Right Says:

That guess on your age a while back [18 to 20],was way off ,more like 10 to 12! Obuma bending the child labor laws a bit?????

  12. Right is Right Says:

Maybe you reside in one of those other 7 states, different laws there?

  13. Col.Smeag Says:

    Katie,
That’s like compareing about a boyscout helping a handicaped Nun across a street vs the killing of a sackfull of puppies.

Palins preacher has never said anything conrtroversial while Rev “I’m on Fire” Wright has the mouth of a sailor fresh in of the boat, and enough hatetred in him for white people to equal the Nazi party. “…one

the two don’t compare. Try again when you are worthy.

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”
Martin Luther King- I have a Dream speech.

  14. Katie Says:

So you think the Jews control banking and the Christians have to take it over??

    That’s not “controversial?”

I think they should run that little sermon in Palm Beach and see if they agree with you.

  15. Col.Smeag Says:

WOW you’ve really got a problem reading don’t you, I made no refferance to Jews. I was making a comparison about how you and you white hating friends are biggots. Try that one on any street corner. Try telling the Jews in Palm Beach to go F@#$ America and see how they like. Too many Jews died for biggottry to continue in any way shape or form.

Rev Wright is a biggot. You obviously agree with him that makes you a biggot to. Too bad, but then again it was the democrates that opposed equal rights in the 60’s.

  16. Katie Says:

Sarahcuda sleeps with a traitor every night — as he was a card-carrying member of the AIP and she is a sympathizer of same:

Comments from the founder of the AIP Party:

“The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government,” Vogler said in the interview, in which he talked extensively about his desire for Alaskan secession, the key goal of the AIP.

“And I won’t be buried under their damn flag,” Vogler continued in the interview, which also touched on his disappointment with the American judicial system. “I’ll be buried in Dawson. And when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones home.”

At another point, Volger advocated renouncing allegiance to the United States. In the course of denouncing Federal regulation over land, he said:

“And then you get mad. And you say, the hell with them. And you renounce allegiance, and you pledge your efforts, your effects, your honor, your life to Alaska.”

ISN’T IT TIME TO ASK THE PALINS TO RENOUNCE THE AIP??

  17. Patrick Says:

First off, what an appropriately named website for you right-wing nut jobs. Wow, I can see why you people adore Palin so much, none of you can stay on topic and answer questions about the issue at hand. In this case the issue is charitable contributions. From the information that is given in the article you cannot, with certainty, argue that Sarah Palin has donated more to charity than Joe Biden has. You can, however, glean with certainty that the Palin’s have “claimed” more donations on their taxes. We all know that a large portion of charitable donations are tax refundable. Additionally, some of us learn at a very young age that true “charity” is anonymous. Therefore, what the above article illustrates is that Sarah Palin is in all likelihood greedier than Joe Biden. From a logical standpoint, that is.

  18. Right is Right Says:

Logic ? From someone who defends a political puppet like Biden ?

  19. UFBret Says:

Wow, Patrick, stretch armstrong has nothing on you and your ability to contort. As for “our” inability to stay on point…kindly notice the FIRST posting under the story. It was delivered by one of your liberal sisters “PSY”. In Logics, its called a red herring…a deliberate attempt to change the course of a conversation or debate. The twin sisters “Katie and PSY” do this on every posting, very deliberatley.

I wonder Patrick, if you were part of the ilk a few weeks ago demanding Palins returns in hopes of embaressing her (the same way Bidens has embarassed him).

Also, for the record, Biden is a good Catholic boy. Any church-goer knows if your making contributions to the church, you get a quarterly or annual statement.

But lo, charity is anonymous, right? Okay, so tell me how to hide it when I am feeding people, working with addicts or advocating for abused children. There must be away to be anonymous…. afterall, I dont see a single liberal running in those same circles I run in, helping people, instead of yapping about it.

Quit taking your talking points from Axelrod and David “he gives to his church” Wade.
