Florida Democrat Congressman Mahoney, Foley Replacement, Pays Mistress $121,000 in alleged bribe money. The Mistress originally sued for $1mil.
Tim Mahoney (D-FL), whose predecessor resigned in the wake of a sex scandal, agreed to a $121,000 payment to a former mistress who worked on his staff and was threatening to sue him, according to current and former members of his staff who have been briefed on the settlement, which involved Mahoney and his campaign committee.

Mahoney, who is married, also promised the woman, Patricia Allen, a $50,000 a year job for two years at the agency that handles his campaign advertising, the staffers said.
A Mahoney spokesperson would not answer questions about the alleged affair or the settlement, but said Allen resigned of her own accord and “has not received any special payment from campaign funds.”
Senior Democratic leaders in the House of Representatives, including Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-IL), the chair of the Democratic Caucus, have been working with Mahoney to keep the matter from hurting his re-election campaign, the Mahoney staffers said.

Mahoney was elected two years ago following the abrupt resignation of his disgraced predecessor, Republican Mark Foley, whose lewd internet messages to teenage boys and Congressional pages created a national outrage.
The affair between Mahoney and Allen began, according to the current and former staffers, in 2006 when Mahoney was campaigning for Congress against Foley, promising “a world that is safer, more moral.”

Unlike the former Rep. Mark Foley (R) and his “interests” in adolescent Congressional pages,
there was no crime committed between these consenting adults.
And, were no misused campaign or taxpayer funds.
He may have ruined his marriage, but he has not violated his oath of office nor violated any laws.
Florida’s 16th District is being hit hard with Bush’s catastrophic recession and Republican mismanagement of the economy — it’s trending Democrat for a reason.

Hey Col.,and UF, An interesting perspective on Hussien Obuma, his father was a black african muslim from Kenya .We have seen pictures of his african family. His mother was a white atheist from Kansas. Where are the pictures of his American family? His father deserted his mother when he was two years old and went back to Africa by way of Harvard. How? Was his father wealthy? His mother married an Indonesian Muslim and then moved to Jakarta where he was enrolled in a Muslim school. When he reached high school age, his mother sent him to Hawaii to be with his white grandparents and he was put into an expensive, private school. He later went to Harvard. How? Were his grandparents rich? He lives in a 1.4M house obtained through a deal with a wealthy fundraiser. How? He worked as a civil rights activist in Chicago. He has never held a productive job or received a paycheck that was not government funded and/or tax payer supported. The Presidency is not a civil rights position, nor is it subject to affirmative action set asides; on-the-job training won’t cut it. He entered politics at the state level and then the national level where he has minimal experience. He is proud of his African heritage (a father who got a white American girl pregnant and deserted her). Where is the pride in his white heritage? (A mother who flaunted convention and did not believe in God.) Some might think there was not much to be proud of either way. He belongs, and has belonged for over 20 years, to an “Afro-Centric” Church in Chicago that hates white, hates Jews, and blames America for all the world’s perceived faults. (Including creating the Aids virus in order to inflict it on Africans). He repeatedly whitewashes the Pastor, his church and the members who cheered after hearing vitriolic tirades against America. He could not confront his Pastor but he wants us to believe he can confront North Korea and Iran? Yeah, right! During his very brief time in the US Senate he has managed to amass the #1 ultra liberal voting record out of the 100 members. He has voted consistently for bigger government and higher taxes. He has voted for big entitlements and legislation that would severely curtail America’s ability to fight terrorism and protect our borders and national interests around the world. But, he is a good orator. Isn’t that a comfort? Yeah, I think I see how well he will unite the country. I think the truth is that he hopes no one will put the pieces together. What are the Dims thinking. Have you never heard about the story about the wolf hiding in sheeps clothing so he can destroy them from within. The handwriting is on the wall. Please use your eyes to see it. Think long and hard before you vote for this guy! Consider your kids and grandkids. Their future is in your voting hands.

Your right on the money there. I would the same questions of Jessie Jackson and Al “Bullhorn”Shaprton. The have amassed large amounts of money and are labeled community organizers. The fact is that organizations like ACORN and the Rainbow Coalition are registered as Non-Profit Organizations but amass large donations form companies that they threaten with civil rights law suits if they do not donate. PETA,GreenPeace, Code Pink, MoveOn.org and other politically active organizations work the same way. Those protesters you see in Senate Hearings or living in Redwood Trees for years at a time are all backed by donations. Worse yet they don’t pay taxes! So for if ACORN get $250,000 in donations in a given year (according to Barry) since it won’t count as income they wont have to pay taxes. But say a talk radio host that does will. These organizations that stalk Washington DC and bribe,threaten and harass Elected officials and Bureaucrats,yes even Democrats, call on free speech as their Constitutional Armor. Which is fine but lets call them what they are,small,medium or large businesses. They should be TAXED just as you or I would. Only truly non-political,non-profit organizations should have tax exempt status. If I have included a organization that pays it’s fair share I apologize for my error. I am also including conservatives in this matter. If everyone paid a fair steady tax the economy would be stronger, wages would increase, inflation would stay down, and Liberals would whine about it so everything would be as it should. So in short you are correct Barry and his ilk are certainly slim shady, but lying is part of the communist movement in America.
