If you are a Smoker, Stop Smoking

It is believed that smoking has an impact on snoring; if you can’t stop completely, minimize it and then make sure, hours before sleeping, you should be able to control smoking completely. The science behind it is that smoking causes the swelling of the tissue in the throat, mucus membrane in the nose and blocks the small vessels in the lungs. If you smoke before going to sleep, the snoring becomes worse.

Use of Blocks

It is advisable to put blocks under your head and legs as it increases the bed, causing the head to be elevated with that, the soft tissues are elevated and will automatically prevent the throat from closing and dropping down the airways.

Style of Sleeping

If you know that you snore, make sure that you sleep on your sides to minimize or control the snoring. It is recommended that you avoid sleeping on your back completely. When you sleep on your back, you avoid the base of the tongue from collapsing into the throat back. When you happen to sleep on your back, the tongue and throat muscles easily collapse backward in the throat and cause vibration as you struggle to breathe.
